Agglomerated enclosure with hut circles and later farmstead at Whittenknowles Rocks

Whittenknowles Rocks holds layers of Dartmoor settlement. Bronze Age hut circles survive on this exposed site, evidence of communities living and working the moorland in prehistory. Later, in the medieval period or beyond, a farmstead was established here, leaving its own traces among the older remains.
Today the site lies among scattered rocks and open moorland, its features subtle and spread across the ground.
