Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1016851) describes a round cairn on the summit of White Ridge, inside Great Stannon Newtake. It sits in a very prominent position with wide views over much of Dartmoor. The mound is 15.8 metres across and up to 0.7 metres high. Several edge-set stones on the south edge may be a kerb surviving buried elsewhere, and three pits in the mound suggest robbing or an early partial dig. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 1.1 km north of Stannon Tor and 3.1 km north of Postbridge.
