Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1019575) describes an unenclosed hut circle settlement on a gentle west-facing slope above the valley of the River Walkham. It has at least seven huts, two of them with courtyards. Each is a bank round a circular space 2.4 to 6.8 metres across, averaging 4.4, with walls 0.3 to 0.85 metres high, averaging 0.56. Five have visible doorways, and the walls are of upright stones and rubble bank. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 0.7 km south-west of Hollow Tor and 1.9 km south-east of Merrivale.
