Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018929) describes a tinners' building on a slight terrace overlooking the Brim Brook and the West Okement River. A drystone wall 0.7 metres wide and up to three courses and 0.9 metres high surrounds a rectangle 5 metres long and 2.3 metres wide. It is divided into two rooms, and a gap midway along the east wall is the entrance.
A bank against the south side may be an earlier waste dump, or more likely was thrown up for extra shelter. The record's reading is that tinners working the nearby streamwork, which is scheduled separately, probably built it as a shelter.
Crossing's Guide to Dartmoor says the Brim Brook falls into the West Okement at Kneeset Nose.
