Three pillow mounds, Longaford Tor

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020879) describes three pillow mounds near the summit of Longaford Tor, in Longaford Newtake. The scheduling falls into three areas. The northern is a flat-topped oblong of soil and stone 12.2 metres long, 4 metres wide and 0.9 metres high, with a ditch 2 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep on three sides, where the material was dug. Its sides are mostly very steep, with drystone revetment showing in places. The middle mound is also revetted, 8.9 metres long, 4.5 metres wide and up to 0.8 metres high, with a ditch 2 metres wide and up to 0.3 metres deep. The southern is 10.6 metres long, 4.6 metres wide and up to 0.7 metres high, steep-sided as if revetted, with the revetment surviving buried, and a ditch 2.5 metres wide and up to 0.2 metres deep. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 3 km north of Two Bridges.

They are an outlying part of a warren on the west slopes of Longaford and Littaford Tors with at least 32 pillow mounds and a warreners' house. A warren is known to have been set up here in 1895 by James Saltroun of Powder Mills and was given up before 1914, though some of the mounds may belong to an earlier warren that is not recorded.
