Shipley Tor sits high above the Bridge of the same name, with the best access from the bridge north of Black Tor. It commands fine views across the valley to Black Tor and Rider's Rings. The summit shows a sharp contrast between fine-grained and coarser granite, with quartz and blue tourmaline visible. The walk involves a detour upstream to avoid private land below the tor.
