Large round cairn below Yes Tor summit

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1010595) describes a round cairn and a small shelter on a natural shelf just below the summit of Yes Tor, which looks out over much of North Devon. The mound is 29 metres across and up to 2 metres high. It has been partly excavated, leaving two marked features. One is a large hollow in the middle, 7 metres long, 6 metres wide and 1.5 metres deep, with many big rocks showing in it. The other is a trench 14 metres long, 3 metres wide and 0.7 metres deep running from the north edge of the cairn to the hollow. The banks of stones round these hollows are probably the upcast from the undocumented antiquarian digging. It lies in the parish of Okehampton Hamlets, about 1.2 km south-west of West Mill Tor.

A small shelter of unknown date lies 4 metres south of the cairn. It is oval, 2 metres by 1.5 metres inside, with a rubble wall 1.1 metres wide and 0.4 metres high, and a gap in the north-east wall is probably the doorway.
