The row runs north to south down the slope south of the tor towards Blacka Brook, and changes direction slightly near its mid-point. The stones stand up to 0.95 m high, in opposing pairs about 0.96 m apart and spaced about 1.75 m along the row. At least 48 pairs remain, with at least 103 stones in place and three fallen, and others may lie under the turf and heather.
At the higher northern end is a circle 7 m across made of eight stones up to 1.3 m high, with no trace of a cairn inside. The Lee Moor china clay works leat crosses the row 53.5 m from its southern end. A second alignment lies about 100 m to the west. R. H. Worth described the row in the Devonshire Association Transactions in 1892.
