Willingston Rock

Devon

Willingston Rock is a granite tor of modest height standing on the central plateau of Dartmoor. At 323 metres, it commands the surrounding moorland and offers clear views across the open moor in all directions, typical of the exposed high ground that characterises this part of Dartmoor.

The walk to Willingston Rock is straightforward moorland walking, with good access from the network of paths crossing the central plateau. The tor itself has the weathered granite character common to Dartmoor's tors, shaped by centuries of moorland exposure and useful as a landmark point when crossing the open ground.
