Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1019227) describes a round cairn with a cist on a gentle west-facing slope of Black Down, above the valley of the West Okement River. The mound is 6 metres across and up to 0.7 metres high. The cist, 0.9 metres long and running north-north-west to south-south-east, still has its two edge slabs in place, but the side stones have been taken. A pit made when the cist was damaged is filled with loose rubble. Round the north-west edge of the mound are edge-set slabs that remain of a kerb surviving buried elsewhere. It lies in the parish of Okehampton Hamlets, about 1.5 km west of West Mill Tor.
