Little Trowlesworthy Tor

Devon

Little Trowlesworthy Tor is a small granite peak on the open moorland of eastern Dartmoor, standing in the shadow of the more prominent Trowlesworthy Tor nearby. It shares the granite character of its surroundings, with weathered stone breaking through heather and grass. The tor offers a sense of the moor's undulating landscape without the commanding height of its neighbours.

The walk to Little Trowlesworthy is straightforward moorland wandering, typical of this accessible corner of the moor. From here you can see across the surrounding plateau, with glimpses towards other tors and the working moorland beyond. It is the kind of place that rewards quiet exploration and close looking rather than dramatic vistas.
