Great Trowlesworthy Tor

Great Trowlesworthy Tor is a granite peak on the southwestern edge of Dartmoor, near the well-known Cadover Bridge. The tor sits in open moorland where Dartmoor ponies and other cattle commonly graze, adding to the wild character of the place. It is an accessible walking destination that draws people keen to explore this corner of the moor.
Little Trowlesworthy Tor, standing at 330m, sits on the western slope and carries a fragment of local history. A disused flagpole remains there, raised in the 1920s to mark Devonport's independence from Plymouth. The two tors together make for a rewarding walk across the granite landscape.
