Leeden Tor

Leeden Tor rises from the open moorland of central Dartmoor as a low granite peak, modest in height but characteristic of the landscape around it. At 389 metres, it commands views across the moor in all directions, with the texture of heather, grass and stone stretching to the horizon.
The walk to Leeden Tor is straightforward moorland rambling, uncomplicated terrain that rewards with the quieter perspective of Dartmoor's central reaches. Like many of the moor's peaks, its value lies less in dramatic height and more in the sense of place it offers and the walking country that surrounds it.
