Grid ref: SX 5373 7381

On walking routes: Abbot's Way

Heckwood Tor is a small but distinctive granite outcrop situated near Pew Tor, offering good views across the moor. The most notable feature is a large balancing boulder near the top, visible from nearby landmarks. Further down the hill, a xenolith marks where country rock was infused into the granite, and there are remnants of an oblong stone trough nearby, hinting at past industrial activity.
