Cramber Tor

Devon

Cramber Tor is a small granite peak rising from the open moorland of central Dartmoor. Its rocks command views across the surrounding moor, with few trees to interrupt the horizon. The tor sits in a landscape of bracken, heather and grass, typical of the high plateau.

The walk to Cramber is undemanding, following tracks across accessible moorland. There are no significant scrambles or technical challenges. It is the kind of tor that rewards a quiet visit, offering solitude and a sense of Dartmoor's genuine emptiness rather than drama or grandeur.
