Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1017967) describes a bowl barrow on the summit of a high hill with wide views, above the valley of the River Lyd to the south and a major tributary to the north. The mound is 21.3 metres across and up to 0.6 metres high, with an outer ditch 2.7 metres wide and up to 0.2 metres deep, mostly buried. Several larger stones show through the mound and may be a partly exposed kerb, and the whole surface is uneven. It lies in the parish of Lewtrenchard, about 3.4 km west of Lydford.
