Cairn with a cist, one of several cairns on Lee Moor

This is a Bronze Age cairn, a burial mound built from stone, containing a cist or stone burial chamber. It stands as one of several cairns scattered across Lee Moor, evidence of Bronze Age settlement and ritual practice on Dartmoor's higher ground. The cist itself, a box-like grave lined with stone slabs, represents a widespread burial tradition across the southwest during the Bronze Age.

Today the site forms part of the archaeological landscape of Lee Moor, where cairns and other monuments remain visible across the moorland. It is a scheduled monument, protected for its historical importance.
