Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020009) describes a cairn with a cist on a saddle between Hookney Tor and King Tor, above the valley of the Broadaford Brook. The cairn is a ring of edge-set slabs 5.6 metres across and up to 0.62 metres high round a mound 0.6 metres high. The cist, a little south of the centre, is a stone-lined pit 1.2 metres long, 0.55 metres wide and 0.45 metres deep. Three slabs partly hiding it are the original cover stones. Slight mounds beside the cairn on the north-east and south are spoil from an earlier partial excavation. It lies in the parish of North Bovey, about 0.6 km north of Hameldown Tor and 2 km north-east of Challacombe.
