The site comprises thirteen stone hut circles, likely the foundations of roundhouses, an enclosure boundary wall, and a round cairn. Together they form a coherent settlement pattern that speaks to how people organised their lives and land on the high moor in prehistory.
Today the remains sit within the open moorland of Nattor Down and Hamlyn's Newtake, where the stone foundations are still visible amongst the heather and grass. Walking here, you move through layers of Dartmoor's deep past, following the same ground that was once home to Bronze Age communities who farmed and built here thousands of years ago.
