Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1007896) describes a turf-covered round cairn right beside the Lichway on the crest of the ridge between Cocks Hill and Lynch Tor. The mound is 19.7 metres across and up to 1.4 metres high on the north side and 0.7 metres on the south. A shallow hollow in the middle suggests partial early excavation or robbing. The outer edges of the mound survive as a buried feature under deep peat. It lies across the parishes of Dartmoor Forest and Peter Tavy, about 1.6 km north-east of Clay Tor.
