Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020057) describes a wayside cross on a gentle south-east-facing slope above Holne Moor. It is embedded in a large earthfast rock, of Latin type, 1.52 metres high, leaning 15 degrees to the north-north-west. A break in the shaft, which is 1.08 metres high, has been mended with iron bars on both sides. The head is 0.18 metres high and the arms are 0.69 metres wide, reaching 0.2 metres beyond the shaft on each side. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 1.6 km west of Combestone Tor and 1.2 km south of Hexworthy.
