Two round cairns 120m south-east of Langstone Moor stone circle

These two round cairns are Bronze Age burial monuments, part of the rich ceremonial landscape that clusters around Langstone Moor stone circle. Built as earthen mounds over cremated remains, they reflect the ritual practices of communities who lived on Dartmoor over three thousand years ago. Their position relative to the nearby stone circle suggests a deliberate grouping, typical of how Bronze Age peoples used the high moor for both burial and gathering.
