Two round cairns near Langstone Moor stone circle

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018621) describes two round cairns in a line from north-east to south-west on a hill crest above the valley of the River Walkham. The northern is a mound 5.3 metres across and up to 0.3 metres high with traces of a kerb. The Dartmoor Barrow Committee dug it and found a pit cut into the subsoil but no finds. The southern is 6 metres across and up to 0.4 metres high with a shallow hollow in the middle, probably from the Committee's partial dig, which found a small cist with charcoal and bones. It lies in the parish of Peter Tavy, about 0.3 km north-west of Clay Tor and 3.1 km north of Merrivale.
