Scorriton Down

Scorriton Down is a small granite tor on the eastern side of Dartmoor, rising from moorland that sits at a considerable height. The peak itself offers wide views across the open moor, particularly toward the higher tors and ridges that define the central plateau. The approach is straightforward across open ground, making it a natural waypoint on longer walks through this quieter part of the moor.
