Stone row NW of Saddlesborough

This stone row stands on the open moorland northwest of Saddlesborough, a scheduled monument from the Bronze Age when Dartmoor's high ground was more intensively settled and worked. Like other rows on the moor, its stones likely served ceremonial or territorial purposes, aligned across the landscape in a way we can only partly understand now.

Visitors will find it in rough moorland country, among heather and granite, with views across the moor's undulating plateaus. The stones themselves are modest and weathered, easy to overlook.
