Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1010212) describes a setting of four stone circles around a cairn, with a stone row running away from the south-west side, on the south-west-facing slope of Yellowmead Down. The four circles are not concentric. A further arc of seven stones up to 0.4 metres high on the west side may be what is left of a fifth circle. It lies in the parish of Sheepstor, about 1 km east of Sheeps Tor and 1.5 km east of Sheepstor.
The innermost circle has 22 stones up to 0.9 metres high and surrounds a cairn 4 metres across and 0.2 metres high. The outer rings have 32, 27 and 30 stones, the inner two of those only up to 0.25 metres high, and in all of them the biggest stones are on the south side. The outer circle is about 30 metres across at most.
The remains of a double stone row run about 10 metres from the south-west side, with three stones in the south row and about the same in the north row, though more were recorded in 1922. The row stones are up to 0.3 metres high and on average 2 metres apart, and the avenue between the two rows is about 1 metre wide.
