Cairn near Yellowmead stone circles

This cairn lies close to the Yellowmeal stone circles, part of the concentrated ritual landscape of central Dartmoor. Built during the Bronze Age, it is a modest but real survivor of the ceremonial and burial practices that shaped the moor thousands of years ago.
