Rugglestone Rock

Grid ref: SX 7236 7643

Rugglestone Rock is a large granite mass, roughly 22 feet long and 16 feet wide, which rests on the rocks in such a way that it can be rocked slightly, though it once needed the church key to move it properly. A smaller logan stone sits nearby. The tor sits in difficult terrain on the lower slopes towards Venton, surrounded by bog, bracken and thick undergrowth that can make it testing to reach. The rock itself is substantial enough, but the dense vegetation and trees around it make spotting it from a distance tricky once you are close.
