Little King's Tor

Little King's Tor sits on the lower western slopes of the better-known King's Tor, on the western side of Dartmoor. It is a substantial tor, though it has been heavily worked by quarrymen over the years. The tor has two distinct parts: a large rock face bisected by a wall, and above it a smaller quarried section. The most distinctive feature is a logan stone that still rocks with relatively little effort, one of the few on Dartmoor that does so. Eric Hemery noted a rock basin at the highest point. The tor can be reached from the old Princetown Railway track, though it remains a surprising omission from modern Ordnance Survey maps despite being recorded by Dartmoor authors William Crossing and Eric Hemery.
