Little King's Tor

Devon

Little King's Tor is a modest granite outcrop on central Dartmoor, situated among the wide moorland plateau between Postbridge and the higher tors to the west. The summit itself is undemanding to reach, making it accessible to most walkers. From the tor you gain views across the rolling granite and heather landscape that characterises this part of the moor.

The walk to Little King's Tor is typical of central Dartmoor: rough grass, bog and scattered boulders underfoot, with few fixed landmarks but a strong sense of open country. In clear weather, the vista extends to the higher peaks beyond. It is the kind of place that rewards those who enjoy the moor's subtler character as much as its dramatic summits.
