Round cairn near Longstone Hill

This scheduled monument is a round cairn, a burial mound built during the Bronze Age when Dartmoor's high ground was more intensively settled and farmed than it is today. The cairn sits in open moorland southeast of Longstone Hill, one of hundreds of similar monuments scattered across Dartmoor that mark ancient graves and ritual sites.
