Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1002525) describes a kerbed cairn with a cist on the ridge that forms the watershed between the River Yealm and Broadall Lake. What survives is a partial kerb of nine large upright stones, up to 1.1 metres high, forming an incomplete ring about 4 metres across inside, with the west side missing. It lies in the parish of Cornwood, about 1.7 km north-east of Rook Tor and 3.3 km north of Cornwood.
A rectangular cist 1.2 metres long, 0.6 metres wide and 0.5 metres deep sits in the middle. Its cover stone is missing, and all trace of the cairn material that once formed a small mound over it has been removed.
