Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1012813) describes one of two cairns on the west slope of Penn Beacon, west of the Cholwich Town contour reave, on about the same contour as the several cairns on the south-west slope. They lie close to the west side of a group of springs that run down the slope. This is the north-eastern of the two, a mound 8 metres across and up to 1 metre high with a hollow in the middle. It is partly overgrown, with some stone showing through the turf. It lies in the parish of Cornwood, about 1.8 km north-west of Rook Tor and 2.4 km north-east of Lee Moor.
