Little White Tor sits on the ridge above Peter Tavy, about 200 metres north-east of a Bronze Age pound on Cudlipptown Down. Despite its name, the tor presents great ruin: a scattered pile of jagged rocks culminating in a three-metre-high west-facing cliff. From here you get exceptional views south towards Roos, Cocks and Sharp Tors, and south-west to Smearn Ridge. The walk is straightforward from Boulters Tor, following the main path past Setters Rocks and turning left uphill. Mind the red flags on White Tor if you venture further, as this sits right on the edge of the Merrivale firing range.
