Hunter's Tor is a granite outcrop at 188 m on the steep hillside north of the River Teign, in Drewsteignton parish, on the Castle Drogo side of the gorge. It is marked on Ordnance Survey maps, and the views from its summit rocks are described as dramatic, especially east along the gorge towards Sharp Tor. Hunters Tor, Hunt's Tor and Hunts' Tor are other forms of the name.

The Hunter's Path, the track along the gorge side, runs close by, and the tor lies about 700 m west of Sharp Tor (listing 3899), which the path also reaches. Photographs from about 1860 reproduced in Tom Greeves's 2015 book show these slopes bare of trees, with the tor plain to see. Today much of the hillside is wooded.

There are three places with this name. This is the Hunter's Tor in the Teign Gorge. Another Hunter's Tor stands above Lustleigh Cleave, topped by an Iron Age hillfort (listing 3841). Separately, the Hunters' Stone is not a tor at all but a boulder carved with the names of South Devon Hunt members beside the Avon Dam road near Shipley Bridge, in South Brent parish on the other side of the moor.
