Gren Tor is a small granite outcrop just above the Rattlebrook railway, close to Lydda Bridge and Hunt Tor. It sits on the north-west edge of Dartmoor and provides good views across to Cornwall and down the River Lyd valley towards Great Nodden. The easiest way to reach it is by following the Rattlebrook railway path, which passes within 20 metres of the tor. The name 'Gren' is a corruption of 'Green', reflecting its grass-covered appearance.
