Great Nodden a massive curved hill (looking like a Plum Pudding) on the North West side of the moor - easily spotted from a distance
Cairns on the top and wonderful heather on the Eastern side in the summer
The slopes and spur of Great Nodden carry a Bronze Age landscape protected as scheduled monuments: ten cairns, two of them ring cairns, in eight monuments, and a settlement of hut circles and enclosures on the slope above the River Lyd, 330 m to 400 m south-east of the summit.
