Enclosed hut settlement near Gutter Tor

This scheduled monument is the remains of an enclosed settlement of stone huts, likely dating to the Bronze Age or Iron Age. The site consists of circular or oval stone-built structures arranged within or near an enclosing boundary, a common pattern on Dartmoor where such settlements are found across the higher moorland. The stones are now low and partially turf-covered, requiring some care to trace the original layout.

Visitors will find themselves in open moorland south-west of Gutter Tor, where the landscape itself forms much of the story.
