White Tor west enclosure, hut circles and kerbed boulder

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1011461) describes an enclosed hut circle settlement and a kerbed boulder on the west-facing slope of White Tor, overlooking the valley of the Colly Brook. Nine hut circles can be made out, eight circular, 2.2 to 4 metres across, and one oval, 2.4 by 2 metres, with walls 0.1 to 0.7 metres high. Two are attached to the inside of the enclosure boundary and a third to the outside, and four have visible doorways. The enclosure wall links several small granite outcrops and encloses an area 80 metres north-west to south-east by 52 metres, a wall 1.8 to 2.4 metres wide and 0.4 to 0.6 metres high of turf-covered stones and boulders. It lies in the parish of Peter Tavy, about 0.9 km north of Wedlake Tor and 2.8 km north-east of Peter Tavy.

The kerbed boulder lies in the east part of the enclosure: a large earthfast granite rock ringed by nine smaller upright stones, 4 metres across and up to 0.4 metres high. Its date and purpose are not known, though others found in Cornwall go with areas of Bronze Age settlement.
