Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1019999) describes at least three coaxial fields on a north-facing slope of Shapley Tor, above the valley of the River Bovey. They are part of the Shapley Common coaxial field system, which has four parallel reaves leading to a terminal reave. The walls vary but are mostly earthworks with the odd upright stone showing, up to 2 metres wide and 0.4 metres high. Other parts of the field system have their own schedulings. It lies in the parish of North Bovey, about 0.8 km north of Hookney Tor and 2 km south of Lettaford.
