Blackadon Tor

Devon

Blackadon Tor is a small granite outcrop rising from the open moorland of central Dartmoor. The tor itself is modest in scale, typical of many Dartmoor peaks, with weathered granite blocks scattered across its summit. The surrounding moor is open and rolling, offering clear sightlines across the high plateau.

The approach is straightforward across accessible moorland, making it a reasonable objective for walkers exploring this part of the moor. The views from the summit extend across the characteristic Dartmoor landscape of heather, grass and distant granite ridges. It sits within a landscape shaped by centuries of moorland management and lies close to other named features and walking routes through the central moor.
