This hut circle lies on the high moorland east of Roos Tor, a scheduled monument marking Bronze Age habitation on Dartmoor. The remains show where a roundhouse once stood, one of many such dwellings that dotted the moor during the prehistoric period when the landscape was more densely settled and farmed than it is today.
