Homerton Hill

Grid ref: SX 5625 9029

Homerton Hill is essentially a grassy ridge attached to Black Tor, standing at 393 metres. It sits just south of Meldon Reservoir in the northern reaches of Dartmoor. The most straightforward way up is to follow the path toward Black-a-tor copse from Black Tor, then double back up the gentler slope to the summit. A direct ascent from the reservoir side involves a steep slog. If you're planning to visit, be aware that Black Tor marks the start of the Okehampton Firing Range, so watch for red flags on Yes Tor or Longstone Hill to the north before heading that way.
