Shovel Down

Shovel Down is a moorland area notable for its concentration of prehistoric remains. The site holds several stone rows, the Fourfold Stone Circle, and a number of standing stones scattered across the landscape. It sits at around 433 metres and represents one of Dartmoor's richer archaeological zones, making it of particular interest to anyone exploring the moor's Bronze Age heritage.
