Shilstone Tor sits on the eastern slope of Shilstone Hill, just above the road with a small car park nearby. It's a quiet spot with a somewhat worn appearance due to past stonecutting, but it offers lovely views eastward towards Mid Devon and the 'eastern highlands' including Haytor Rocks. The tor's lower part is covered in bracken, and nearby, Shilstone Hill is rich in prehistoric sites like hut circles.
