Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020091) describes a group of coaxial fields, hut circles and historic fields on a spur leading north into the valley of the River Dart. The fields are part of the Dartmeet coaxial field system, rubble banks that were in places altered when later historic fields were made. Three parallel reaves run through the monument, with other boundaries leading off to make smaller fields and enclosures. There are at least ten hut circles, with rubble or upright-stone walls up to 0.8 metres high round spaces 4 to 8.4 metres across. One has a visible doorway. It lies in the parish of Holne, about 0.7 km south-west of Hockinston Tor and 1.7 km south-west of Poundsgate.
Two groups of historic fields lie within the monument. The northern is three agglomerated fields that partly reuse earlier prehistoric boundaries, and the southern is part of one field with the rest outside. Small clearance cairns are from stone clearance in the historic period, and several small rectangular pits scattered through the old fields were dug by tinners prospecting. The active leat through the monument and the electricity poles are excluded, though the ground beneath them is included.
