Lints Tor hut circle settlement

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018910) describes a partly enclosed hut circle settlement, a cairn and a cache on a gentle west-facing slope of Lints Tor, above the West Okement River. The scheduling falls into two areas. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 0.9 km south-west of Dinger Tor.

The settlement is a group of rubble banks forming at least four incomplete enclosures with many hut circles among them. The huts are banks round circular or oval spaces of 2.4 to 27.32 square metres, averaging 14.09, with walls 0.25 to 0.7 metres high, averaging 0.49. Seven have visible doorways, seven are butted by enclosure walling, one is attached to an enclosure and most are of rubble bank construction. The cairn on the west edge of the settlement is a mound of stones 7 metres across and up to 1.6 metres high. A cache or shelter cut into its top is 1.5 metres long, 1.3 metres wide and 0.7 metres high inside, roofed with a single large slab reaching from side to side.
