Three ruined stone hut circles lie scattered across the moorland southeast of Legis Tor, likely dating to the Bronze Age when Dartmoor supported a thriving pastoral population. These low stone foundations once formed the bases of roundhouses, their circular footprints still visible among the heather and grass. The hut circles sit at around 400 metres elevation on relatively exposed moorland, typical of the dispersed settlement pattern that characterises this period of Dartmoor's occupation.
