Middle Staple Tor commands a fine position above the Middle Walkham Valley, with views southward between King's and Vixen Tor. The main tor has a collapsed avenue and prominent xenoliths from granite magma intrusion. The eastern side has a spectacular ruined rampart, and remnants of granite setts used for street cobbles in Tavistock and Plymouth remain visible.
