Upper Merrivale tin mills

The Upper Merrivale tin works on the Walkham: a blowing mill 11.1 m long and two stamping mills, excavated from 1991 to 1996 by the Dartmoor Tinworking Research Group, with dressing floors and an unfinished mould stone.

Urgles Cross (Wigford Down)

A modern wayside cross on a tall shaft at the edge of Wigford Down, replacing a lost medieval cross whose base lay by the road opposite Urgles Farm.

Urn cairn, Hurston Ridge

A flat-topped round cairn 9 m across with a fallen triangular stone, dug by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1900, who found a large upturned urn over a charcoal-filled pit under a slab.

An X-shaped vermin trap of two V-shaped walls beside Legis Tor, with a slab-lined trapping channel and a cover stone cut with holes for the tripping gear.

Village cross, Moretonhampstead

Moretonhampstead village cross: an octagonal pedestal 3.2 m across and 0.6 m high outside St Andrew's churchyard, with an old cross head set upside down on it and a lost shaft.
