This scheduled monument preserves evidence of Bronze Age settlement on Dartmoor, with an enclosed cluster of stone hut circles, three round cairns, and a section of reave, the characteristic linear stone boundary that carved up the moorland landscape. The site sits on open ground 650 metres west-south-west of Ger Tor, where the remains are visible as low stone structures and field divisions scattered across the moorland.
The hut circles represent domestic occupation, likely spanning several generations, while the cairns may mark burials or territorial boundaries. The reave is part of the extensive field system built across Dartmoor in the later Bronze Age, evidence of organised land management and pastoral farming that shaped the moor we see today. Walking here puts you among the bones of ancient moorland life.
