Round cairn 250m south east of Standon Farm

This round cairn stands in the moorland southeast of Standon Farm, one of many burial monuments that dot Dartmoor's high ground. Built during the Bronze Age, these stone mounds marked the graves of individuals and small family groups, and often remained visible focal points in the landscape for centuries after their construction.
Today the cairn survives as an earthen and stony mound amid the heather and grassland.
